Driver Managment Services(DMS) – FAQs

What is DMS?
DMS is ADR’s Driver Management System designed to help companies monitor drivers and order their driving records monthly, semi–annually, or annually and comply with state MVR Monitoring Programs.

At the client’s designation, DMS can automatically retrieve MVRs on the drivers in the roster at specified intervals or provide the automation to enroll drivers and receive MVRs from the Employer Notification System (ENS) to which the driver is assigned. CA EPN program is now available.

What is CA EPN?
CA EPN is California’s Employer Notification System (ENS). The EPN program (mandated in CA for specified drivers) allows your organization to monitor the driving records of employees who drive on your organization's behalf. This monitoring accomplishes the following:

• Improves public safety
• Determines if each driver has a valid Driver License
• Reveals problem drivers or driving behavior
• Helps to minimize your liability

What are the benefits of using DMS?
DMS simplifies the process of managing the driver fleet through automated MVR ordering. The client can enter the drivers just once and schedule automatic, future MVR pulls. Additionally, DMS automates the process of enrolling and removing drivers as well as the receipt of notifications and MVR reports from state ENS Programs.

How does DMS help comply with DOT Regulations?
DOT requires the retrieval of new hire and annual MVR reports. DMS will help you meet your annual review requirements easily through the scheduled ordering. Enter the driver’s anniversary and set the interval for future pulls. MVRs will be retrieved and delivered on schedule. Additionally, MVRs are saved in DMS to help with audit situations.

Can DMS be used to order MVRs for all 50 states?
Yes. MVRs from all 50 states are available via DMS.
